How to Make Charms Using Swarovski Crystal Beads

Making your own customized charms using Swarovski crystal beads is easy and inexpensive, and does not require the use of many specialized tools. Charms made using Swarovski crystal beads are attractive and can be used to dress up or accent clothing, jewelry, cell phones or anything else that you fancy.

Instructions

    1

Decide on the design that you want to use for your Swarovski crystal bead charms. You can use a mixture of Swarovski crystal beads or can add accent beads, such as small silver or gold spacers.

    2

String the beads onto a silver or gold headpin or eye pin depending on the look that you are trying to achieve. Headpins have flat or decorated ends and eye pins have looped ends.

    3

Leave enough length at the end of the headpin that you can make a loop for hanging, and then use the flush cutting pliers to cut any excess wire off of the end.

    4

Use the round nose pliers to bend the remaining wire on the headpin into a loop in order to finish your Swarovski crystal charm. The more polished or finished the loop is, the sturdier the charm will be, and the better it will look when finished.

    5

If desired, create additional charms that can be linked together to create a burst or cluster design.

    6

Attach a silver or gold jump ring to the end of the charm or charms. Make sure that you are choosing a metal that coordinates, matching silver with silver or gold with gold.

    7

Attach the jump ring wherever you like so that your Swarovski crystal beaded charms can serve as accents for jewelry, clothing, cell phones, other electronics or anything else that you wish.
