A "Christ's Cross" beaded faith necklace is a traditional craft for many Sunday school or Bible school classes in a variety of Christian churches. The cross is constructed out of cording and simple pony beads, arranged in a specific order. Each colored bead on the necklace represents a principle of the Christian faith.

Black

Black represents the sin that Christians believe separates them from God. It is also a reminder to eliminate sin from their lives whenever possible.

Red

The red bead represents Christ's blood, which Christians believe he shed for the world's salvation. The blood of Christ is a significant symbol in the Christian church.

White

White represents repentance through prayer and becoming clean and pure. Christians have faith that, because of Christ's sacrifice, they can pray to receive forgiveness for their sins.

Blue

The blue bead represents the waters of baptism. Christians hold that through the act of baptism, they enter Christ's church and start on the path to salvation.

Green

The green bead represents growth as a Christian. Christian believers are supposed to strive to be more Christlike in their daily lives as they grow closer to God.

Gold (Yellow)

Gold represents eternal life with God and Jesus after death. Christians believe that the faithful members of their churches will live eternally in Heaven after they die.
