How do I Remove Links From a George Watch Band?

Some people enjoy wearing their George chain link watches. There may be times when the watch does not fit perfectly. It may fit slightly bigger than other watches that you wear. In this case, you need to learn how to remove the links in order to properly size your watch. Taking out the links requires very little time and effort.

Instructions

    1

Place the watch on your wrist. Clasp it as you would if you were wearing it. Pinch the watch with your forefinger and thumb until it feels comfortable. The amount of links you are pinching is the amount you need to remove.

    2

Take off your George watch. Turn it over on its side so that it is facing upwards on a flat surface.

    3

Look for the arrows on the link you want to remove. Those arrows are pointing to the pin. Push out the pin with your screwdriver.

    4

Pull the rest of the pin out with pliers. Remove the link from the watch. Repeat steps three and four to remove any additional links.

    5

Join the clasp and the link band together. Insert the pin with your fingers or pliers. Press the pin in completely so that it does not stick out.

    6

Place the watch back on your wrist. Verify that it fits the way you want.
