Fossil watches was founded in the mid 1980's with the goal of becoming an affordable and quality brand known worldwide. Fossil has expanded quickly since it's founding, and has focused primarily on watches and accessories. Changing the battery on a fossil watch is not difficult, and the Es-9825 watch uses a fairly simple pressure-fit back to hold the battery in place, which can be opened without much fuss.
Instructions
- 1
Lay the watch face (the crystal) down on the soft cloth to prevent scratching or otherwise damaging the crystal of the watch while you are removing the back.
2Locate the small indentation on the back of the case. This is the ideal location to slip the pocket knife under the back of the case. Some models will not have this indent; if that this case, simply choose an accessible edge.
3Using the small blade of your pocket knife, slide the blade gently under the watch back while being careful not to damage the case.
4Once the knife is under the watch back, push it slowly inward toward the watch center while tilting the blade upward - this should lever off the back of the watch.
5Locate the battery inside the watch. Replace the battery with the same model of battery in the exact same position as it was removed.
6Push in the pressure-fit back of the watch, pressing down evenly on all sides. The back is only in place if it is flush against all sides of the back of the watch.
