How to Put Links on Italian Charm Bracelets

An Italian charm bracelet is a versatile accessory. Skip the jewelry store--learn how to put links on Italian charm bracelets. Since you can adjust this type of bracelet at home, you easily can add individual charms to commemorate special occasions, rearrange links for a different look or remove charms that don't match your outfit.

Instructions

    1

Hold your Italian charm bracelet in your left hand. Grasp one of the links between your thumb and index finger.

    2

Grasp the link to the right with your right hand. Gently pull the two links away from each other. This should expose the hook on the link in your right hand.

    3

Unhook the link on the right from the link on the left. Keep holding the link on the right in your right hand.

    4

Insert the charm tool between the end charm and the link next to it. Turn the charm tool to expose the end charm's hook.

    5

Pick up the new charm with your left hand. Slide the exposed hook through the new charm's slot. Remove the charm tool.

    6

Insert the charm tool between the new charm and the charm to the right. Turn the tool to expose the new charm's hook.

    7

Take the charm on the other end and attach it to the new charm to put your bracelet back together. Remove the charm tool.
