How to Change a Philip Stein Watchband

Philip Stein luxury watches are prized for their high-quality parts. Each watch uses either a natural-frequency technology or an electromagnetic-frequency technology. The frequencies emitted by the watch are reported to reduce the wearer's stress levels and allow him or her to relax more completely. If your watch band is worn out, or if you just want to change the look of the watch, you can replace the band yourself.

Instructions

    1

Choose the strap style that correlates to your watch model by checking the official Philip Stein website or visiting a Philip Stein retailer.

    2

Check the underside of your current watch band for a strap width measurement. This will range from 14 to 22 mm. If your current band does not have this number imprinted on the strap, use a metric ruler to measure the distance between the lugs, or the metal protrusions that allow the band to attach to the face. This will be the width of the strap.

    3

Remove the current strap by inserting the forked end of a spring-bar tool between the lug of the watch face and the strap. Press down gently, being careful not to slip and scratch the face, in order to release the bar clasp. This will loosen the strap so it can be removed. Repeat on the other side.

    4

Install the new strap by inserting the bar clasp into one side of the lug of the watch. To insert the other side, push down on the bar with your fingers or the spring-bar tool to compress it. Push it into the space in the leg and release. The band should pop into place securely. Repeat with the other side.
