How to Make a Clover Necklace

If you love unique jewelry, then a clover necklace is just your kind of craft. Clover flowers are red, purple and white. Clover makes sturdy flowers that are great for making a beautiful, natural, handmade necklace. Find a sunny, overgrown space in your lawn and throw down a blanket. Making a clover necklace is a perfect way to spend a sunny summer afternoon.

Instructions

    1

Lay your picnic blanket out on the grass, near a flowering patch of clover. Clover tends to flower all summer long and the flowers vary in color, from a rosy red, to purple and also white. Clover flowers are round with several tiny petals and grow from stems that are separate from the clover leaves.

    2

Decide how long you want your clover necklace to be. Some people like to wear a choker necklace and others like a very long one. Sometimes, you can make a long necklace that converts to a shorter one simply by looping it in half and double-hanging it on your neck.

    3

Pick several clover flowers and begin to craft your handmade necklace. You can braid the strands of clover stems together easily. Begin with three long stemmed clover flowers and secure a knot around the flower bases using one of the fibrous clover stems. Braid it normally and add a new stem to one section at every turn, like in a French braid.

    4

When you have reached the desired length, loop the clover necklace all the way around and secure to the place where you began, making a complete circle.
