How to Change the Battery in a Movado

If your Movado watch is slowing down or has stopped altogether, youll need to get a new battery. Movado Group Inc. states on its website that Movado watch batteries generally last from two to five years. Since changing the battery involves a highly detailed process, the company strongly recommends having a professional watchmaker perform this task. You also risk losing your warranty coverage if anyone other than a Movado Group Inc. Authorized Service Center employee opens your watch. You can locate one of these centers on the companys official website.

Instructions

    1

Visit the Repair and Service page on Movado Group Inc.s website listed under Resources. Click "Movado" or "Esq by Movado" to reach the Locate Service Center page.

    2

Select a country and enter your ZIP code or type your city in the box provided and choose your state from the drop-down list. Click "Search."

    3

Scroll through the list of service center results. Youll see the name of the shop or boutique, address and phone number. Click Overview Map or Street Map to view the locations. Bring your watch to one of the service centers listed. (See link in Resources.)

    4

Send your watch to Movados Repair Facility in New Jersey if you dont see a service center in your area. Download, print and complete the Repair and Service Request Form listed under Resources. Youll need Adobe Reader since the form is a PDF file. Use padded wrapping materials to pack the watch then place it in a sturdy box and seal it with packing tape. Write MGI instead of Movado as the company name on the outside of the box for security purposes and send the box through the courier of your choice to:
