A Casio Atomic Watch combines a small digital watch that gets its time markers from over-the-air broadcasts with a regular analog watch that's easy to read at a glance. The digital watch is updated on a daily basis by a radio signal from WWV's atomic clocks, while the dial watch can be adjusted by the user to match this reference.
Instructions
- 1
Make sure your watch can receive the radio broadcast from WWV for time updates. Once every few days, take your watch off at night and leave it on a window sill. This ensures that the watch's radio receiver has the best possible chance to receive the time signal and update to correct the time if necessary.
2Set the analog time (watch dial). When the second hand hits "12" pull out the center crown button of your watch. This will stop the time on the watch and allow you to adjust the minute and hour hands. Move them ahead a minute or so of the digital time reading.
3Restart the watch. When the time on your digital watch (or other accurate time reference) corresponds with what you've set on the analog dial, push the crown back in. You've set the time to match your Atomic digital time.
