The Nike Presto watch is a popular choice for athletes because it has few buttons, a smooth, thick band and waterproof material. However, being so streamlined, it can seem to be near impossible to figure out how to set the time. The instructions that come with the watch are simply a diagram, so many are more than confused about the process.

Instructions

    1

Push the mode button on the left side of the watch until you get time mode. You'll know you are in time mode when you see the time on the watch's face instead of the date. Then press the button on the right and keep holding it for five seconds. You should see "12H" or "24H" on the display.

    2

Take your finger off the button on the right and push the button on the left if you'd like to switch between standard and military time. Standard time shows the hours with a.m. and p.m., while military uses all 24 hours. For example, 1:00 p.m. will display as 13:00 in military.

    3

Push the button on the right side of the watch again. Now the display will show the number for the hour only. If it's flashing, it's ready for you to change it. Push the button on the left as many times as it takes to reach the correct number (it will go up by one number each time you push the button). Look for the P in the bottom right, which denotes p.m., so you don't set the time 12 hours off (not applicable if you chose military time of course).

    4

Press the button on the right once you've got the hour correct. Now you can change the minutes. Check to see that the minutes are now flashing and you no longer see the number for the hour. Then, like before, keep pressing the left-hand button until you get to the number you need.

    5

Program in the correct time by pushing the button on the right once more. The colon between the hours and the minutes should blink on and off.
