How to Authenticate Pandora Beads

Pandora Jewelry is a Danish company that has been around since 2002. The company specializes in earrings, necklaces and bracelets. One of their most popular products are the charms, or beads, for the Pandora charm bracelets. The bracelets have threaded sections where you can place Pandora beads to customize your bracelet. The sections of the bracelet keeps beads from moving around on the bracelet. Beads start at $25 and should be purchased through the Pandora website or other authorized retailers to avoid inauthentic beads.

Instructions

    1

Look for the official Pandora trademark. Most Pandora jewelry is marked with the letters "ALE"--the initials of the founder's father, Algot Enevoldsen. Silver jewelry is marked with the number 925, and gold jewelry is marked with 585. Pandora jewelry purchased after 2008 will also carry the Pandora crown symbol.

    2

Buy your beads from authorized dealers of Pandora merchandise only. If you purchased your beads from the Pandora website or another authorized retailer, you can be sure that they are authentic. Use the Pandora website's "Nearest Store" page to find local authorized retailers.

Match your beads to those on the Pandora website. According to Gilletts Jewelers, this method works as long as your bead has not been discontinued or retired. If this is the case, it will not be displayed on the website.
