Clip-on earrings were all the rage back in the 1980s. Getting your ears pierced became much more popular over time and offered more variety in terms of earring styles. However, earring holes in your lobes may begin to droop or become infected over time. To solve those problems, all you need is a pair of earring converters that allow you to switch from posts for pierced ears to clip-ons for all types. Converting your earrings is simple to do and will not take more than a few minutes.
Instructions
- 1
Place the earring post of choice into the small tube on the back of the earring converter. There is only one small opening to eliminate the guesswork. Make sure you push tightly to secure the post. That way, the earring will not fall out while you wear it. You can purchase earring converters online at a variety of jewelry websites. (See Resources)
2Bend the post forward so that the earring decoration faces outward, the way it is typically worn. Do this gently so you don't risk breaking the converter.
3Open the back hinge and slide it onto your ear lobe.
4Pinch it closed and pull on it gently to see if it has a good grip on your ear. The hole in the converter cannot be seen because the earring post is inside, making it appear as though it was a clip-on earring from the start.
