The only thing better than owning a fabulous piece of jewelry is to own a piece of jewelry that was worn by a famous person or celebrity. Believe it or not, you may be able to purchase a piece such as this and own your very own piece of history.

Instructions

    1

Find live auctions. You will often be able to find auctions for celebrity jewels at the big auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christie's. There will often be a catalog of the items that will be up for sale available for viewing before the auction so that you can see if there is something that interests you. Sotheby's usually holds a huge jewelry auction around Valentine's Day.

    2

Look on eBay. Often there will be auctions for charities on auction sites like eBay. Celebrities will often donate personal items to be auctioned off in order to help raise money for their favorite charity. This is a great way to obtain a piece if you are the highest bidder!

    3

Look for estate auctions. If you are lucky you may find a piece of celebrity jewelry at estate auctions. Sometimes famous pieces are handed down from generation to generation until there is no one left in the family to pass it on to. Check your local papers and the Internet for estate sales.

    4

Enlist the help of your local antiques dealer. An antiques dealer might be able to get his hands on special jewelry worn by famous people and will be more than happy to add his fee and commission on top of the price. Antique dealers usually belong to larger networks of antique dealers that they use when they are looking for something special.

    5

Buy a copy. There are many web sites that offer copies of jewelry worn by famous people. These copies are going to cost you a lot less money and will be easier to find.
