How do I Add Links to a Tiffany Necklace?

With jewelry you can accessorize any outfit beautifully. Tiffany & Co. is known as one of the world's premier jewelry manufacturers, quality creators of necklaces, bracelets, brooches, pendants, charms and more. If you have a Tiffany necklace or maybe just thinking of buying one, but the size is not quite right, you can do something about it. With two basic supplies and just a few minutes of your time, you can add links on to any Tiffany necklace and extend the length to make it fit.

Instructions

    1

Open the chain nose pliers and place the tip of the pliers around the end of the necklace extender. The necklace extender should be made of several links, and you want your pliers resting on the very last one.

    2

Move the tip of the pliers until it rests just beside the opening in the link.

    3

Gently twist the link open, moving the sides of the link apart to the sides rather than spreading the link open all the way. By slightly twisting the link apart rather than opening it right up, it is much easier to get it back to its exact original shape.

    4

Slide the open link around the last link or jump ring on your necklace. This is the end opposite of the clasp end of your necklace.

    5

Use the pliers to twist the link on the necklace extender back into place. It should now sit securely around the last link or jump ring on your necklace. You have now added on the necklace extender and your necklace is the proper length to fit.
