Italian Charm Instructions

An Italian charm bracelet is a personalized addition to anyone's jewelry box. The charms are customized to the wearer, and best of all they are interchangeable. You might wear a bracelet with charms relating to your hobbies, but then decide you want to substitute them for charms that symbolize your family. Instead of buying multiple bracelets, you save money simply by adding or removing the desired charms. Due to their size, adding and removing Italian charms can seem tricky, but with just a few simple maneuvers the process is practically effortless.

Instructions

Adding Charms

    1

Hold the starter link in your left hand. Slide the link outward using your thumb and index finger, and keep pressure on it to hold it in place.

    2

Grasp the charm in your right hand between your thumb and index finger -- the charm will have a small opening on the left side.

    3

Bring the charm up underneath the extended link in your left hand and hook the opening of the charm onto the link.

    4

Repeat this process with the remaining charms, each time hooking the new charm onto the last charm you added.

Removing Charms

    5

Hold the bracelet with both hands and gently pull outward to expand the links.

    6

Take one of the charms between your left thumb and index finger while the links are expanded -- this puts pressure on the links to keep the bracelet extended.

    7

Use your right hand to slide the desired charm to the left and pull down -- it will unhook from the attached link.

    8

Repeat this process to remove as many charms as desired.
